Just letting you know that a lot of stock is now 50% off at Beads ‘n’ Crystals in the valley. Well, it is kinda odd. The beads are not reduced, crystals and gemstones aren’t either. To quote Mr Tumbles, all the haberdashery is half price. Don’t be hard on the man, he is the rock guy, not the craft guy (by his own admission). You see, they don’t have much in the way of habby there at all. What he meant was, all the craft gear in the crystal half of the store is reduced. That means all the yarn (they have Heirloom cotton, yeah), ribbon and crochet cotton too. They have the best crochet cotton colour range I have seen in ages. I picked up some Sculpey at $2.50 a pack, funky colours though (I have been mixing colours anyway). I recommend having a dig, there is all sorts of burried treasure. Seriously, who still sells macrame rope and beaded curtain by the metre?
Poop! January 9, 2007
Hey lovelies – sorry, won’t be in tonight, seem to have the sinuses of doom thanks to my London sickness
Meanwhile – should we still do a pub knitting adventure in the near future?- Kel
Who am I? January 9, 2007
Who is the gal seen here sporting Jenny Kee circa 1990?

…and do ya think she’d want us all to know about this? I am undecided, team?
Short knit cardigan (I know, I know) January 4, 2007
Yes, I just bashed the photo for this pattern, but I actually also quite like the cardi.
So I’ve ditched my other cropped lace cardigan project for this one. I’m using this sweet Moda Vera ‘Cloud’ I picked up at Spotties. It’s a blend of superfine acrylic and polyester and is soooo soft. Much finer than the yarn in the pattern, but I’m working it in large and it seems to be balancing out

It makes me think of ice-cream.
There has been a boo boo already, but I knitted through it and dare you to find it skweetis, mwha ha ha!
